Aldine  Caregiver and Family Aldine's husband had a brainstem stroke while on vacation on July 5, 2005. Earl turned 65 just five days later on July 10, 2005. He was working at the time as a church custodian. In September 2005, he was sent home to live with his wife in the same two story home they had shared since 1968. The only modification to the home was a downstairs bathroom. Aldine loved him and cared for him every day for the next five and a half years. They survived a house fire, and earl falling on Aldine and breaking her leg. They managed to continue many activities. Sadly, Earl died on January 1, 2011. |
