Survivor

I never thought that I would be writing about myself in terms of having a stroke because I always looked at myself as a healthy 46-year-old man. But after having a stroke two days before my birthday in February 2010, it made me wonder what was going on inside my body, and that made me scared. My ongoing recovery from this is filled with challenges from every waking moment. I have almost recovered from my stroke as it affected my right side, and have started volunteering at a local stroke club to help other stroke victims who are worse off than myself.

I can only say that this is my new life, and I intend on making a difference while I'm still here to do so. I thank the Lord everyday for giving me this chance.
