Survivor

On July 13, 2005, I suffered a horrific stroke. It was a left sided CVA, leaving me unable to use my right side. I lost the ability to speak, and I could not remember my children's names. I was hospitalized in Germany (my husband was stationed there as an Army Officer) for the better part part of three months. I have since regained the use of my right side, speak well, and of course know my children's names. I still have a slight limp however that occurs when I am tired.

I went through a lot, and because of hard work and determination, I am now back at work as an RN.
