I had a TIA in Walmart one night. My left leg was weak, I was sweating, my voice was high pitched, I was slurring my words, I was very confused and had trouble remembering where the bank was inside the store. This lasted for about 15 minutes. When I got back home, my son took me to the hospital. I got to the hospital within one hour of the TIA, was given an aspirin and was kept over night for observation. I woke up about 3 a.m. completely paralyzed on my left side! I was not given the blood clot busting medication!
