I had my stroke on June 18, 1997. I did not have the warning signs that people associate with stroke. I lived by myself. I fell out of the shower and laid on my bathroom floor for five and a half hours before I was found. I was totally paralyzed on my left side, and still have no use of my left hand. It stays in a fist most of the time.
