When I had my stroke three years ago, I had no idea what a stroke was, nor what the symptoms were. Fortunately my neighbor phoned me at the onset of the symptoms and recognized them. She came over and called my son and an ambulance. I was at the hospital within minutes. Had it not been for her, I would have just gone and laid down until I felt better. Instead, I recovered totally.
