Years ago, I experienced an epiphany when one my mentors opened my eyes to the field of neuro-rehabilitation. After completing my training in PM&R, I decided to do a one year fellowship dedicated to the treatment of stroke and brain injury patients. As a practicing physician, it is my goal to help as many stroke survivors regain the quality of life that their stroke took from them. I have found this patient population to be more rewarding than I ever imagined, and they continue to inspire me to be a better physician.
