Healthcare Professional

As a physician and specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation, I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work with stroke patients for past 7 seven years in my role as medical director of stroke rehabilitation. I have learned a lot from my patients and have come to be impressed by the courage and grace they often exhibit, even after debilitating strokes. Few things are more rewarding than following a stroke survivor in their journey through the rehabilitation process, and seeing them achieve greater independence as a result. It is almost as though they have a new lease on life, as they learn to overcome their impairments.

Most fulfilling, however, is seeing these brave survivors learn to laugh and love and enjoy their families and friends once again. I hope to be able to continue to provide care for these inspiring patients.

Perhaps some of their courage and resilience may rub off on me too.
