Healthcare Professional

I am a neurologist caring for patients with stroke. In my work, I recognize the unsung heroes of this survival: the survivors, their families and primary care-givers, their providers, and social networks. Our current efforts are devoted to increasing the available opportunities to the most underserved areas of our state. These are areas that have the highest morbidity and mortality due to stroke, and are the poorest counties with reduced resources. Using technology to bridge the gap, we want to bring hope to many more who would not otherwise have it. Our projects include stroke care, caregiver support, initiating support groups, sustaining community resources, and helping local health care providers.
