Caregiver & Family

November 8th 2008 was like any other day. My husband of eight years was feeling great, and then the massive stroke took control of his body. For two years, I have heard that "this is not about you." How wrong these people are. My best friend changed forever that day. I fight everyday, for every little thing that he needs or deserves. My life is on hold while I continue on this path that his life has put us on. I would not change a thing about the stroke battle that he continues to fight. When he is too weak, I step in and fight for him. I would not change the path my life has taken. I am very proud to call myself a caregiver for a stroke survivor, and I know my husband realizes that I will never give up on his fight.
