Hankyu C.

Healthcare Professional & Survivor

I am an internist, who was in good physical shape. I used to run over 20 miles a week, played tennis, and was very physically fit. I did not suffer from diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, or any other risk factors except FH. My mom had a stroke, when she was over 70 years old. On August 20, 2010, I woke up with left hemiparesis and was taken to a hospital, but they could not help much. After rehab, I am back to work as a physician a mere two months later.
