Survivor

I am a medically retired forensic/clinical scientist who volunteers with my dog as a therapy dog team, visiting brain injury and oncology unit children. My life changed three years ago when I was recovering from brain aneurysm surgery and had a right side stroke. My stroke recovery at the hospital was inspiring. Support from family, friends and visits by a therapy dog team helped me to walk, talk and function in society again.

I am a stroke recovery group member who gives hope to new stroke patients. Working with a local medical center I have written articles to educate the public on Genetic relationship between brain aneurysms and family. I give back by volunteering to bring smiles and hope to others as thanks.
