Jillian  Jillian Pediatric Stroke Survivor Jillian was a full-term baby who suffered multiple strokes around birth. Subsequently, she has left-sided hemiparesis and hemianopsia. Despite all the PT/OT/speech/OM/social therapies, she has been a model of inspiration for many at every turn. Her desire to do it all has culminated in recent years of becoming a gold medalist in Special Olympics (MD) or making honor roll in sixth grade this year. Jillian's desire to make a difference inspired her to give her hair twice to support Locks of Love, as well as participating in clinical trials (with Boston Children's Hospital and NIH) furthering medical interventions for children with cerebral palsy sequelae. |
