Stroke Survivor

Audrey is a sweet 3-year old survivor of an in-utero stroke that occured as a result of an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) on her brainstem. She had brain surgery at 14 months to remove the AVM, and now works diligently every day to increase her right side mobility and function. Audrey's mother describes her as "very resilient and determined,", a child who "likes to make people laugh". Audrey is a Face of Stroke to raise awareness everywhere that babies and children have strokes, too. This campaign is yet another venue for her to tell her story (she tells it wherever she goes).
