My Mom Laurie

How high blood pressure and A-fib affected my life.

On Aug 30, 2013 I gave my mom a hug and told her "I love you, and Happy Birthday!"

On September 2,2013 I was rushing to the ER after receiving a voice mail from my dad saying my mom had just had a stroke! My mom suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke.

On September 3, 2013 I said goodbye to my mom for the last time.

My mom was a smoker (quit in 1985), suffered from high BP and A-fib. Like most people you don't think of these things until you're personally affected. I would urge everyone to start to think of these things NOW. Don't wait for you or a loved one to experience a CVA to act.

My mom was a loving, caring and gentle soul who would do anything for anyone. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
