Stroke Awareness

This May, you’ll be inspired by three stroke survivors whose lives might be tragically different today if it wasn’t for awareness of the warning signs of a stroke, followed by prompt care and treatment.

One of them, Dan Hetrick, went from aspiring marathon runner to stroke survivor in a matter of minutes.

Has Medicare denied you coverage for skilled nursing or therapy services? Thanks to a recent federal court ruling, coverage for these services will no longer be denied, even if improvement has plateaued.

This change is effective immediately and applies to outpatient physical,occupational and speech therapy in outpatient, home health and nursing home settings.
