Depression and Emotional Episodes

Depression, anxiety and other emotional behavior changes are common in stroke survivors. But sometimes, a stroke survivor's depression is not actually depression. Pseudobulbar affect (PBA) is triggered by damage to an area of the brain and is often mistaken for and misdiagnosed as depression.
Our new Faces of Stroke℠ and PBA Ambassador, Sonja, and her daughter Amber are sharing their experience with PBA. See their story.
