Telestroke Webinar Series

National Stroke Association is pleased to present the Practical Guidance for Building and Sustaining a Telestroke Network Webinar Series.

The accredited program is designed to provide practical guidance, solutions to common challenges and resources that are in high demand by stroke programs that seek to integrate telemedicine into their systems of care. The series begins November 15 with the Business Model Strategies webinar. It will be followed by Telestroke Network Fundamentals on November 30 and Overcoming Challenges on December 13. Registration for all three activities is required.

National Stroke Association will accept facility participation on a first-come, first-served basis. The grand rounds programs can be offered between November 15, 2011, and April 30, 2012. Case Studies in Telestroke Networks

You are invited to attend the webinar Case Studies for Developing an Optimal Telestroke Network on Wednesday, November 16, at 12:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.

The webinar features two case studies, highlighting the construction and optimization of telestroke networks at Wake Forest University/North Carolina Baptist Hospital and Providence Stroke Center. Content is provided by Genentech, Inc. Each session will be interactive and offer live Q&A.

Access Online and Paper NIHSS Exams

National Stroke Association offers a free online version of the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) exam for use in certification. Our online testing is widely recognized as the best user-friendly training and certification program available. The accredited online version of the NIHSS exam is available at www.stroke.org/NIHSS.

National Stroke Association is also the only organization to offer a paper version of the NIHSS exam. Members of the Stroke Center Network (SCN) and Stroke Rehabilitation and Recovery Network (SRN) can receive unlimited free copies of the NIHSS paper exam.
