Today Show Features Stroke Awareness

Thursday, May 21, 2015

As part of National Stroke Awareness Month, we had the opportunity to partner with NBC’s Today Show to raise stroke awareness and share two stories of stroke survivorship.

Carolyn, from our Stroke Challenge team, and Ruth, a Faces of Stroke℠ ambassador, were featured on the show to help spread the word about stroke during National Stroke Awareness Month.

The segment focused on the importance of recognizing the most common signs and symptoms of a stroke through the FAST acronym (F=Face, A=Arms, S=Speech, T=Time). As the public is dangerously misinformed about stroke and the importance acting FAST this opportunity to reach millions of people with this messaging was very impactful.
