I am a medically retired forensic/clinical scientist who volunteers with my dog as a therapy dog team visiting brain injury and oncology unit children. My life changed 3 years ago when I was recovering from brain aneurysm surgery and had a right side stroke. My stroke recovery at the hospital was inspiring, support by family, friends and visits by a therapy dog team helped me to walk, talk and function in society again. I am a stroke recovery group member who gives hope to new stroke patients. Cedars Sinai Med Center and I have written articles to encourage public on Genetic relationship between brain aneurysms and family. I give back by volunteering to bring smiles and hope to others as thanks. group
