I am ... A Survivor

On 13 July 2005, I suffered a horrific stroke. It was a left sided CVA, leaving me unable to use my R side, I lost the ability to speak, I could not remember my children's names. I was hospitalized in Germany (my husband was stationed there as an Army Officer) for the better part part of 3 months. I have since regained the use of my R side, speak well and of course know my children's names. I went through a lot and because of hard work and determination I am now back at work, as an RN. I have a slight limp that occurs when I am tired.
