I am a 45 year old woman who had a severe headache the week before my stroke. I also experienced a sensation of feeling lost in places that were familiar to me, difficulty judging distances, and clumsiness the week before the stroke. I am a registered nurse and a librarian. All I remember is waking up in the hospital a couple of days after the stroke occurred. I didn't know what had happened.
It has been 2 weeks since the stroke and I am happy to report that I have been able to return to work. I have very few residual effects from the stroke and am very thankful to have had such a quick recovery. I do deal with depression and fatigue, but am hopeful that those will resolve with counseling and time.
