I am ... A Survivor

My name is James, I had a stroke 10 years ago. I was in the hospital for 225 days and nonverbal for 3.5 months. I was sent home in a wheel chair with only the use of my non-dominant arm. I worked with a physical therapist and speech therapist three times a week for six months.

At the end of that time, they told me that’s all they could do for me. I was determined to not live the rest of my life in a wheel chair. After years in a serious depression, I decided I had to do something to get my former life back.

Years of athletic training as a college football player, inspired me to work out. After my first year of working out five times a week, I was able to get out of my wheel chair!!! I’m glad I had the common sense to attempt this. Six months later, I left my walker behind and five months later, I removed my knee brace.

I am explaining this so you understand my passion for helping people with physical disabilities. I became a Personal Trainer and formed a company to help others increase their strength, capabilities and self-esteem.

My company offers exercises that people can do in their homes, at their own pace, using common houshold items. In addition to our website archive of video exercises, we also email them weekly exercises with new ones added regularily. You never have to leave your home.
